Candle wax, pumpkin goo, face paint and a trail of candy wrappers? Here's how families can bring the house back to golden — in one easy morning.
Happy Halloween from all of us at Golden Bee!
From our hive to your home — we hope tonight is full of giggles, good costumes and way too much candy. Have fun, stay safe on the sidewalks, and don't worry about the mess. Tomorrow, we've got you.
With love, the Golden Bee team
Halloween is one of the happiest nights of the year in Brooklyn, Staten Island and New Jersey. Kids run from door to door, porches glow with pumpkins — and the next morning, the house looks like a friendly little tornado came through. The good news: most Halloween messes are easy if you tackle them in the right order.

Spooky stains, solved
Candle wax
Let it harden (an ice cube helps), gently scrape, then cover with a paper towel and press with a warm iron to lift the rest.
Pumpkin goo
Let it dry, brush off what you can, then blot with cold water and a little dish soap. Hot water can set the orange color.
Face paint
Rub a bit of dish soap or makeup remover into the spot before washing. Skip the dryer until it's completely gone.
Chocolate
Scrape gently, rinse from the back with cold water, and wash with an enzyme detergent.
Fake blood
Cold water only! Blot — don't rub — and treat with stain remover as soon as you can.
Glitter
Lint roller or packing tape on fabric, then a slow vacuum. A damp paper towel picks up the last sparkles.
Bee tip: keep a "Halloween basket" by the door with wipes, a trash bag and a lint roller. Little hands can help, and the mess never travels past the hallway.
